UFC 114: THA MAIN EVENT

The topic of today is one of the biggest feuds between two talented fighters that has developed into one of the greatest grudge matches in a long time in UFC. I'm talking about the number one contendership match between Quinton"Rampage"Jackson and "Suga"Rashad Evans
As of May 8, Lyoto"The Dragon" Machida lost the Light Heavy weight championship to Mauricio"Shogun"Rua 2 minutes and 25 seconds into the first round. As of now "Shogun" is celebrating his victory over Machida but he will soon face one of the two men whose beef has gone far beyond the octagon.
Rampage and Rashad started their beef after Rashad bested Forrest Griffin for the Light Heavy weight championship....a championship that was held by Rampage. Being the kind of guy that Rampage is, he asked for a chance at the title with the new champ, then got into Rashad's face at UFC 96 after beating Keith Jardine, who also happens to be close friends with Rashad, for a chance to face Rashad for the title where it could been seen that the two didn't have respect for each other, but that didn't matter since before his fight with Evans, he began to have lingering injuries which kept that fight from happening and helped put Machida to take Rampage's place in the championship fight.
Let's just say that change didn't help Evans to keep the championship. Machida proved that Evans was as easy contest for him when he knocked out Rashad in a minute and 3 seconds into the second round at UFC 98. The damage was so bad Evans had to get surgery for the torn ligaments in his jaw that were cause by what...Machida's punches to the face. Even with a new champion, Rampage couldn't do anything for his title shot with his lingering pains. But the fact that when two men, especially black ones, who know how to fight and have defeated great fighters like themselves, even legends, and to top that off, they have aliases like Rampage and...well Suga isn't such a scary nickname..unless your in prison. But anyway, once there is beef, there will be beef between those men for a while.
This was shown when Rampage and Evans became coaches on T.U.F (The Ultimate Fighter) where they took fighters under their wing to teach them in the best way they know how and hopefully get them the wins they needed to get a UFC contract, and that didn't go so well with Rampage considering that his team lost every single fight and I have to admit it, Rampage was a pretty sucky coach. The fact that Rashad was his teams opposing head coach made it even worse. There wasn't an episode where these two knuckle heads were in each others faces.
But through all of the bickering, cussing and promises of @$$ whoppings and knockouts that would take place in the future it has lead to this fight that will take place on May 29,2010 at 10 PM at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena. UfC 114 ladies and gents... the winner of this fight might be the next UFC Light Heavy weight champion but until then its gonna be a great match. In my next log ill dis cuss the poll and what you should base your ideas on to cast your opinion.
